OXFORD '23
In 2023, Condor Camp was hosted by Wytham Abbey, in Oxford, UK, in the days 24 to 30 of July.
In this Camp, the students could engage with content and activities solely focused in Artificial Intelligence safety.
Renan Araújo
Renan runs the IAPS AI Policy Fellowship program and researches the international governance of AI. Renan is also co-founder of Condor Camp. Previously, he worked on global capacity-building for AI governance and safety at Rethink Priorities and did research at the Institute for Law and AI. He’s a lawyer, studied Law at the Federal University of Pernambuco (Brazil) and has a master's degree from the London School of Economics.

Michael Aird
Michael Aird is the fellowship coordinator for the Technology and Security Policy (TASP) Center at RAND Europe. He is also a member of the Science and Emerging Technology research group. His prior roles include research scholar at the University of Oxford's Future of Humanity Institute and co-founder and co-director of the Institute for AI Policy and Strategy. He has a Masters of teaching from ACU and a Bachelor of Science in psychology from the University of Western Australia.

Rio Popper is a Research Fellow at the Global Priorities Institute, University of Oxford, where she graduated in Politics, Philosophy and Economics. Her interests are in game theory, virtue ethics, and AI conflict prevention.
